An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solution Designer with our client in the Education sector, attractive remuneration, challenging work and potential for growth available.

Reporting to the Solution Architect and the Project Manager this is a technical role responsible for delivering detailed solution designs for LMS integration platform and other supporting systems impacted by the new architecture being rolled out by the program.

Ideally, the applicant will be able to demonstrate the below minimum requirements

• At least 3 5 years subsequent relevant experience working on complex projects or an equivalent combination of relevantexperience andoror educationortraining
• At least 2 years experience in deployment, release management, and software configuration management
• At least 2 years experience of writing technical solution designs working from requirements and solution

  Core Skills

  • Proven experience in designing Java Web Applications
    and web applications using web frameworks such as Spring, Spring MVC or Stripes
  • Recent knowledge of Object Oriented Design using common design patterns architecture and through the entire SDLC
  • Knowledge of relational databases with a good understanding of JPA
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in agile delivery methodologies
  • Complete understanding of build and release processes using Maven and Jenkins
  • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills at all levels
  • Ability to facilitate outcomes and achieve consensus
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent planning and project management skills

    Key Accountabilities

    • Deliver detailed Application Design and data models to developers and testers that realise agreed business requirements and Solution Architecture.
    • Daily interaction with development and test teams to ensure code is developed according to the design.
    • Responsible for solution quality from an integration testing perspective, support the Solution Architect to ensure complete solution integrity.
    • Assist developers to resolve defects with design that are raised in testing, support Integration Testing and UAT where required
    • Define Implementation and rollout processes and support the Project Manager and operational teams with solution roll out activities
    • Provide a BAU handover document to operational team
    • Support transitioning of code base into BAU operational team via warranty support
