Ballarat Health Services is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Critical CareorEmergency Trained Registered Nurse Division 1, to join our team in the Emergency Department.
Ballarat Health Services BHS Emergency Department has an 18 Cubicle Unit with three Resuscitation Bays, a five bed Fast Track and a 12 bed Short Stay Unit.
The BHS Emergency Department saw just under 60,000 people through its doors last year. As a large regional centre, BHS s Emergency Department sees a variety of presentations including General Medicine, Surgical, Trauma, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Mental Health.
In the Victorian State Health budget last year BHS was funded for a brand new Hospital including a brand new Emergency Department. Construction is set to begin in 2020.
As the successful applicant of this position you will have extensive clinical experience, preferably at least 5 years in an Emergency Department. Post Graduate studies in either Critical Care or Emergency Care is essential.
You will be able to work collaboratively and consultatively as part of a multidisciplinary team, have demonstrated leadership qualities, and have well developed critical thinking and organisational skills.
Working within a multidisciplinary team you will be expected to facilitate and foster best practise and service delivery to our clients and their families within the Emergency Department.
